Awesome on Trout

I regularly catch trout and am looking for good seasonings for them. This seasoning was a winner. There are no after-cooking pics because this smelled so heavenly we tore right into it. The seasoning has a good flavor and a hint of spiciness. My wife was especially impressed with the seasoning, so this is a keeper. I sprayed the trout with olive oil, seasoned them liberally inside and out, and then wrapped in foil and baked at 350 for one hour. This seasoning arrived well sealed and fresh.

Wildlife trout seasoning, not just for trout!

I live for salmon is supreme. So I didn't have any fresh trout, but I did have some fresh salmon which I use the wildlife salmon seasoning on my fish. It's a very nice seasoning, and doesn't take away from the fish but enhances it. Next time I get some fresh trout I will be sure to put it on because I think it would actually go better with trout versus salmon. Salmon is quite a distinct and strong flavored fish this seasoning may have been a bit overpowered by the salmon. However, if I was making salmon again tonight I would still use this because it's delicious.

Tastes good, MSG inside

This is a fine blend of spices tastewise. It says trout, but you can use it in other places. The ingredients listed are garden variety herbs and spices, and there are some proprietary ones. I am not too happy with MSG in this blend. If you are only after flavor, then this is a good blend.

Makes trout sing

I love trout, and have since I went fishing in Colorado on a family trip and caught some that my grandmother then prepared so when I saw this I figured I would give it a shot. It came packaged just fine with no spills or anything that I could see. I sadly had to buy trout from the store to make it but I used this blend on it and then grilled it on our grill. The fish came out wonderfully and this spice gave it a nice garlic/salty/Mediterranean vibe. All in all, this is a great spice blend to put on fish and I think the next one I'm going to try is salmon.
