This seasoning is coarse and CHUNKY! The flavors are basic yet bold enough to notice. Had this on steak and it complimented the meat and elevated the flavor without overpowering. I liked it so much I have even been sprinkling it on my potatoes.

Grilling season is starting, and I was looking to add some kick to my next barbecue. I gave this jar of Wildlife Seasonings Longhorn Steak seasoning a try. It definitely delivered on the "Big & Bold" part of its name. It came in a good-sized 6.0 OZ container and has a very coarse texture, so you can easily see how much goes on your food. I mainly used it on steaks, throwing it on before tossing them on the grill. The seasoning has a nice spicy kick, but it wasn't overwhelming bold. It also has a complex flavor that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but it definitely complimented the grilled steak well. Good seasoning.

Solid seasoning for a wide range of uses. I don’t think it has a particular special zing or anything but it’s like a good all round steak seasoning in my opinion.

As noted in the product information this is a coarse rub which means it is chunky pieces of seasoning. You need a pretty thick piece of steak to take full advantage of this rub. Per the container it is two teaspoons per pound. If you are cooking less meat, you could use less seasoning. i.e. One teaspoon per 8 ounces or 1/2 teaspoon per 4 ounces portion. We used this on some thick Ribeye steaks. I used one teaspoon per steak and left the seasoning soak for about an hour before tossing on the grill. As the name of the seasoning implies, the flavor is bold. It is a little salty for my taste, I would have preferred some additional seasoning in place of the salt but overall it had a good flavor.
