I'm happy with this Deer Chili Seasoning from Wildlife Seasonings. It's a milder blend with more cocoa powder than garlic, which gives it a well-rounded flavor without overwhelming heat. This seasoning works great when you're making a chili where you want the meat's flavor to shine without being overpowered. I've also enjoyed adding it to mac and cheese and waffle fries for a little extra depth of flavor.

To be honest, we are not fans of venison as it is just to gamey for us, however this chili seasoning is for so much more than chili and deer. We really like it on regular beef as a steak seasoning or for hamburgers. We have used it on roasts in the crock pot and to sprinkle on fries as a seasoning. It is a good mix of spices and is a solid blend for great flavor.

Hubby is a hunter so we make a lot of meals with deer and chili is a favorite. The entire family loved the flavor of this seasoning, it was not too spicy for the little ones but of course you could add more if you wanted a bigger hit. We also used it with Elk Chili and I must admit I preferred that but I think it would work well with a variety of meats.

I wanted Wildlife Seasonings Deer Chili Seasoning just because it sounded good. I make chili during the winter usually with an assortment of spices but I just wanted the convenience of not having to mix the spices myself. I didn't make deer chili due to not having deer available to me, but with beef it's really good. It has a slight smokeyness and spice to it, but neither are overwhelming which is great. It does require a little more than I expected to get strong flavor but overall it was a good seasoning blend.

Great tasting chilly powder not only for deers. Sprinkle it on anything, I even use it on my French fries. has shaker lid so easy to use, good ingredients and good quantity but I feel the price is a little high anyway, good flavor.
