A hearty one-pot venison chili built around Wildlife Seasonings Deer Chili Seasoning — perfect for fall gatherings around the firepit.

Ingredients

  • Wildlife Seasonings Deer Chili Seasoning 4.5 oz. bottle
  • 2 lbs. venison, ground, or protein of your choice
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 small bell peppers
  • Olive oil, for cooking
  • 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 14.5 oz. can garbanzo beans
  • 14.5 oz. can black kidney beans
  • 14.5 oz. can red kidney beans
  • 28 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 28 oz. can diced tomatoes (sub fresh if desired)
  • 14.5 oz. container beef broth

Directions

  1. Dice the onion and bell peppers.
  2. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to a large pot and sauté the diced onions.
  3. Season the onions with salt and pepper to taste and add a dash of Wildlife Seasonings Deer Chili Seasoning.
  4. Add 2 lbs. of ground venison or protein of choice and brown the meat.
  5. Add the diced bell peppers.
  6. Add the remainder of the Wildlife Seasonings Deer Chili Seasoning.
  7. Add the tablespoon of tomato paste.
  8. Add the cans of garbanzo, black kidney, and red kidney beans.
  9. Add the cans of tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.
  10. Add the container of beef broth.
  11. Simmer until thickened to your liking, then serve.

Serve your deer chili with a sprinkle of shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and a side of warm cornbread.
