Spicy Boar Sweet Hot Rub seasoned pork steak with BBQ sauce

Ingredients

  • Pork steak, sliced from the pork shoulder

BBQ Sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 3 tbsp dark corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsp molasses
  • 1/2 tsp grated lemon zest
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp thawed orange juice concentrate
  • 2 tsp A1 steak sauce
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp tabasco or other hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup Spicy Boar Sweet Hot Rub

Directions

  1. Combine all BBQ sauce ingredients and bring to a simmer.
  2. Cook on the lowest flame for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Grill the pork steak, seasoned generously with Spicy Boar Sweet Hot Rub, to your desired doneness, and serve with the BBQ sauce.

This rub also makes a great seasoning for chicken or French fries.
