This assertive but playful combination of sweet spices and heat can be lightly sprinkled over Mahi-Mahi, rubbed generously onto red meats, or flavor a marinade for poultry adding the distinctive and memorable taste of the Caribbean.

INGREDIENTS:

Spices including Red Pepper and Turmeric, Salt, Sugar, Dehydrated Onion, Dehydrated Garlic, Soybean Oil, and not more than 2% Tricalcium Phosphate (added to prevent caking).

USAGE:

  • Use as a Rub: Rub on both sides of meat, chicken, pork or fish before grilling or broiling. We suggest a starting application rate of 1 to 2 tablespoons of Mahi-Mahi Island Jerk Marinade to 1 pound of meat.

  • Use as a Marinade: Combine 3 tablespoons of Mahi-Mahi Island Jerk Marinade with 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar.  Coat 1½ pounds of chicken pieces with above marinade.  Refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.  Smoke, broil or grill the flavored chicken.

Great to add on everything

These seasonings pack a pleasant flavor that has a big impact but is not overpowering. At first, the flavor has a pleasant mild taste then turns into a mild to medium spicy flavor (depending on your spicy tolerance). I would add this seasoning on everything even pizza.

Delicious with lemon and soy sauce

This is pretty good with a definite kick. I wish some of the pieces were a little more ground up, like the chilis. But the flavors are there and definitely stand out. I used this for salmon. I just used fresh lemon juice, soy sauce and then sprinkled this. No need to add salt, it was delicious! Especially the crisper parts. Great value for the taste. Can't wait to try it in more fish.

Really flavorful!

My wife and I don't like hot foods that have no taste. But this seasoning has a good flavor. It's spicy, don't get me wrong, but it has those Jamaican flavors that you just love. The first thing we thought of using this on was taking the fish out of the freezer and throw them on the griddle with some of this seasoning. My wife wants to pull out the boneless skinless chicken breast next and have Jerk Chicken. And what about veggies? The ideas are endless. We are very pleased with this Jamaican Jerk seasoning and would recommend this to anyone that likes Caribbean flavors.

Versatile seasoning

I love jazzing up everything I cook with spices of all kinds, so I was excited to try a new spice blend. I used this on fresh caught redfish and really enjoyed it, but found that I like it more on chicken and pork. It’s a very versatile seasoning blend that pairs sweet with a moderate spicy heat. It arrived well sealed and fresh.

Jamaican Jerk seasoning

I LOVE this seasoning. This is my first time ordering and the combination of spices is wonderful! It has a slight sweetness and a little bit of a kick. Not too much, just the right amount. I used it in chicken breast and it was fantastic! It would also be great on fish or veggies. I love that the item description includes a little recipe for a marinade which I plan to use once it’s warm enough to grill. The container is a nice size and well worth the current price.
